The meeting will run as usual with both oral and poster presentations, a conference meal and an early-career researcher event.

Sunday 1st September:

  • As many of you noted you’d be keen to get together before the Monday, we have a welcome social between 17:00 and 22:00 held at the Philharmonic Dining Rooms (36 Hope Street, Liverpool, L1 9BX) where food will be served until 21:00 and drinks until 22:00. Feel free to drop in anytime if you would like, I’m sure it will be a nice way to kick off the meeting.

Monday 2nd September:

  • Registration for the meeting opens at 08:45 where coffee will be available in the Cypress Building on the University of Liverpool’s campus (building number 108 in square E2 on the campus map). By 09:10, we would like everyone over and settled in the Moot Room (in the South Campus Teaching Hub, building number 120 in square E2 on the campus map) where the organising committee will provide a welcome and briefing for the meeting. Signs and our local team will be around to help direct you.
  • Doug Benn will be presented his Seligman Crystal after lunch and will also be giving a talk in the same session.
  • The poster session will run 15:00 to 16:55 in the Cypress building (same room as registration and coffee breaks).
  • At 17:00, if you would like, you can either attend the 1) ECR event organised by the EGG and the local committee or 2) pre-dinner drinks held at the Queen of Hope Street (L7 7DL).
  • The conference dinner will be held at Frederiks (32 Hope Street, Liverpool, L1 9BX) on Hope Street and will begin at 19:00.
  • For those wanting to continue the festivities after the dinner, a space has been booked in Beer Engine (14-18 Hardman Street, L1 9AX) which stays open (very) late.

Tuesday 3rd September:
